How to remove AVG Search engine from Firefox (Blekko, Babylon, Bing, etc.,)
AVG toolbar and search engine gets installed once you install AVG antivirus. Its irritating and useless to have AVG custom search engine as your default search engine. Search results will vary and sometimes, sponsored results appear which are non-contextual and misleading.

So, we will now see how to remove AVG Search Engine or Babylon or Blekko or Bingbar etc.,
Steps to remove AVG Search or Babylon or Bing Search from Firefox
1. In the address bar or location bar of your Firefox, type- about:config and press enter
2. Search for the row which will contain keyword.URL under the preference name column
3. Double click on the Value column
4. Change the AVG Search or Babylon link or bing search link to Google Search or Yahoo Search!

5. Click on OK
Now your default search engine will be the search engine that you would have set.

a lot of these things like Babylon are downloaded onto your computer by stealth,and you cannot remove them by using the add remove on your computer,there always seems to be something left,if you are not a computer nerd ,one of the easiest ways to get rid of them is to download ccleaner from the net,and then using that call up the programmes highlight the one you do not want and remove it and it will completly remove it job done.
